Careful Address Use
Rules That Keep The
Milton Keynes Address Usable.
The address is for post, statutory correspondence and agreed small parcels. It is not for misleading banks, HMRC, Companies House, tenants, buyers or suppliers about where work happens.
Accepted Mail
What Hiway Mail Will Take
- Letters addressed to approved account names.
- Companies House notices for registered office customers.
- HMRC statutory post for registered office customers.
- Bank letters when the account use is legitimate and named.
- Legal correspondence for approved names or company records.
- Small parcels by agreement, up to 5kg as standard.
Plain Introduction
A Postal Address, Not A Pretend Workplace
Hiway Mail can receive and manage post for people who do not want business mail going to their home. It cannot be used to suggest there are staff, stock, a shop counter, a clinic room, a warehouse, a workshop or a rented office at the address.
If the wording on a website, invoice or public record would make a reasonable customer believe work happens at the Milton Keynes address, the wording needs to change or the account will not be opened.
Refused Items
Items That Will Not Be Accepted
Restricted Or Risky Goods
Cash, jewellery, medicines, controlled substances, firearms, regulated goods, perishable goods, anything requiring refrigeration and anything requiring an age check are refused.
Anonymous Or False Names
Hiway Mail does not accept anonymous mailboxes, fake names or accounts opened without ID. Mail for unknown names is not treated as approved customer mail.
Bulk Stock And Pallets
Pallets, stock deliveries, ecommerce fulfilment, pick-and-pack parcels and daily parcel dispatch for inventory are outside the service.

Customer Duties
What Customers Must Keep Current
- Keep ID and proof of address current when asked.
- Maintain the £20 postage float if forwarding is needed.
- Top up when the float falls below £6.
- Tell Hiway Mail before expecting parcels.
- Answer compliance questions promptly and in writing.
- Use only address wording that matches the service.
Closure And Unpaid Accounts
When An Account Ends
If an account is unpaid, mail may be held while the account is brought up to date. Final post can be forwarded where a valid instruction and postage float are available. Mail that remains unclaimed after notice may be returned, disposed of or handled according to the written account terms.
Hiway Mail can close an account where the address is used to mislead, where prohibited items are sent, where ID is not maintained or where compliance questions are ignored.
Reassurance
The Rules Protect Legitimate Customers
The careful parts of the service are not there to make things difficult. They keep the address clean for the small companies, directors, landlords, traders and overseas founders who need a reliable postal point without pretending it is something else.
